Nepal’s Southern lowland known as the Terai is covered with dense tropical jungles teeming with diverse wildlife, exotic birds and reptiles. Here you will find some of the most exciting safari destination in the world. You will be going into deep evergreen jungle on Elephant back safari to view wild animals in their natural habitat. Other thrills are canoe rides on the Jungle Rivers, nature walks, bird watching excursions village tours etc.

Chitwan National Park is Nepal’s first National Park, it is located in the mid Terrai area of Nepal. Chitwan National Park is popular for jungle safari and its unique culture of Tharu community.This park is biggest attraction for many visitors after the trek and tour in Kathmandu.

Covering an area of 932 sq. km the park includes hilly areas covered by deciduous forest. This ecologically diverse area is the last remaining home in Nepal for more than 300 of the endangered Asian one-horned rhinoceros and harbors one of the largest population of the elusive and rare Royal Bengal Tiger. Beside the Rhino and Tiger, Chitwan also supports a great variety of flora and fauna. There are four species of deer, including the spotted Chital, Leopard, Sloth bear, Wild boar, rhesus monkey, Grey Langur monkey, wild dog, small wild cats, the white gaur (the world’s largest wild cattle) and many other smaller animals.
