Mardi Himal Trek is short and the most scenic trek in the Annapurna region. A few trekkers make there trek to Mardi Himal. So this trek is relatively less crowded and suitable for those who enjoy “off the beaten path”. Along the way we pass through rhododendron forests, into a rugged high mountain landscape and great views of Mardi Himal, Machapuchre, Annapurna South and Hiunchuli. The airy panoramas that both routes offer are a revelation, being so close to Pokhara. However, this disguises the fact that each route is wild, untouched and extremely rugged just below Mardi Himal. Fishtail is an astonishing sight from so close, especially as the sun sets with a fiery red glow. The Mardi Himal Base Camp route begins with an easy walk from Dhampus to Pothana.
