Located in the eastern half of Nepal, the Everest region offers a wide range of trekking experiences. From the well- developed trail to Everest Base Camp to treks in remote semi- wilderness areas, there is a choice to suit all comers. The main ethnic group that visitors will encounter in the Everest region is the Sherpas. There are also minorities of various other groups, notably Rai and Tamang in the lower hills and the ubiquitous Brahmin and Cheetri farmers of the valleys. The northern part of the district ( Khumbu) is Everest National Park, which was established to protect the fragile environment of this alpine region. The park contains a variety of mammals, Himalayan thar, musk deer, the Himalayan red panda and the black bear are all native to the park. Add to the mountain peaks, glacial lakes, rhododendron forests, native flora and fauna traditional villages and ancient Buddhist monasteries, all go to make this region a spectacular destination.


Everest Base Camp Trekking

The Mount Everest or Solu Khumbu area is the second most popular trekking destination in Nepal. The primary objective of Everest treks is either the Everest Base Camp, about 5, 340 meteres. or Kala Pattar, an unassuming (5, 545 meters. A trek into Mount Everest Base Camp is one of the most spectacular adventure treks in the world. Everest Base Camp is not the sole preserve of high altitude mountaineers. Everest Base Camp trek is the quintessential trek to Everest journey begins with an early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla.

Classic Everest Trekking

We commence our journey overland following the route of the first pioneers to Jiri a market town and the gateway to the Solu Kumbu region. The first few days walk (trekking) are a push up through the beautiful alpine region of Solu on our way to the mountain air strip at Lukla. From Lukla we continue trek onwards amongst and alongside the regions famous inhabitants the legendary Sherpas. These hardy people have carved an existence since time immemorial from the frozen landscape.

Gokyo Lake Trekking

This Gokyo Lake trek begins at the mountain airstrip at Lukla a one hour flight from Kathmandu. Our destination is the high altitude lakes of Gokyo at over 4200 meters. Less frequented than the E.B.C route the trek provides some tremendous high altitude trekking and a visit to the second largest glacier in the World. From the top of Gokyo Ri there are some spectacular mountain views including Everest. We return to Lukla and our flight back to Kathmandu.

Everest Panorama Trekking

Everest panorama Trek is relatively easy but very scenic trek provides a great introduction to Sherpa country and its culture with great mountain views of the world the highest peaks, including Everest, Lhotse, Thamserku, Ama Dablam and other many snowy peaks and takes you up high along trails to Tengboche Monastery without the struggle of high altitude trekking. This trek is ideal for those who have less time and still want a view of Everest. Our destination is the village of Tengboche

Long Classic Everest Trekking

This is high altitude trek recommended for the very fit with previous experience of high altitude trekking. The trekker will be highly rewarded for his/her efforts with spectacular views of Everest, Makalu, Cho Oyu , Ama Dablam and other great peaks. We commence our journey overland following the route of the first pioneers to Jiri a market town and the gateway to the Solu Kumbu region or Leaving Kathmandu to Lukla by flight and climb again to Phakding. Crossing the Dudh Kosi river four times, a steep ascent to Namche bazaar is made.

Gokyo-Kalapathar-EBC

Commencing from the airstrip at Lukla the first three days are spent trekking the established trail to E.B.C. We traverse West for a gradual ascent to the beautiful five lakes of Gokyo,where we rest for some side treks including a climb of Gokyo Ri for some fantastic views. From Gokyo we trek over the Chola pass onwards to Gorak Shep on the main trail and Kala Pattar, fantastic views of Everest .A further five days are spent descending to Lukla for our flight to Kathmandu.
